Build An Observation Post
BUILD AN OBSERVATION POST
You just can't see everything from ground level. Hence, the need for observation posts. An observation post is a tower structure of some kind with a windowed room or an open air room at the top. It can be accessed with either steps or ladders. It can even be a treehouse. The important thing is that it gives you a view of the perimeter of your property. With such a view you can monitor all traffic on or off of your property. The observation post gives you a broader field of vision and this can be extended even further by having binoculars inside of it. Make sure that the post is within small arms fire range of the home that you are trying to defend. Build your observation post so that it has more than one way to enter or exit it, perhaps have stairs and a ladder both. While an observation post may be visible due to its height, you don't need to make it any more visible by loud coloured paint. Most observation towers are painted dark or in camouflaged colours.
